ELENA WELSH, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist located in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Welsh received her doctorate degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and completed advanced clinical training through a postdoctoral fellowship at Gateways Psychiatric Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Welsh has worked with a wide range of clients who have experienced trauma, including survivors of torture, domestic violence, early childhood abuse, and sexual assault. She has published articles in various medical and research journals and has served as a consultant for statewide initiatives aimed at increasing trauma-informed care. Dr. Welsh also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Antioch University Los Angeles.
