About the Author
Weiss, Dylan: - Dylan, a speech-language pathologist for more than thirty-five years, specialized in geriatric communication disorders and progressive neurologic disease. When her mother developed Parkinson's and could not get treatment due to misunderstood Medicare regulations, she was inspired to make a difference by writing Reimbursable Geriatric Service Delivery, a Functional Maintenance Therapy System which became a bestseller in her profession. After her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Dylan retired from a successful career and became a caregiver for the next fifteen years. Again, she was inspired to write, documenting the challenges they faced and the creative communication programs she developed throughout his decline. Dylan's article, Sharing the Load, won an Excel Award from the Society of National Association of Publishers in the literary category. Dylan became a community leader, sitting on Parks and Recreation boards, improving the township's parks system, promoting green efforts, and all the while, expanding her writing efforts with an intent on exposing a potential environmental predator-unconventional natural gas hydraulic fracking. Dylan's hope is that readers of Sebastian's Tale are inspired to make a difference. Visit Dylan on the web at: www.SebastiansTale.com
