Authors of the letters represent black men from various socioeconomic statuses, diverse childhoods, careers, ages, household compositions, religious belief systems, and different life experiences. Some of the authors shared their personal stories of overcoming adversity, while others provided tools and techniques for success. Overall, all authors were intentional about ensuring their brothers received a message of hope and love.
